Derwent Pencil Museum

Our museum attracts over 80,000 visitors a year. We continually update and refresh our exhibition of pencil manufacture and local history, as well as our café we have retail space where we showcase Derwent products, other art materials and gifts.

For Mid-March start until end of October 2023; we are now recruiting:

4 Seasonal Museum Assistants

We’re looking for enthusiastic customer focused people to help run our thriving Museum, Coffee shop & retail shop to work on a zero-hours basis but we would anticipate working from around 13th March to approx. 31st October (but could be earlier finish to fit in with school or University or other commitments), minimum of 3 days, maximum 5 days per week.

You will have some experience of retail, café work or similar, and an interest in art would be an advantage.
